My Reforms:

This section will allow users to easily coordinate activities based on shared views (as opposed to direct personal contacts). Activity on areas like the discussion boards is needed to provide the data required to establish these connections (therefore this area won't be developed until nearly last). Grassroots movements will be supercharged once this section is active.

Review/Rating - St. Thomas More Catholic School - Chapel Hill, NC

St. Thomas More Catholic School is a private school located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The owner of this website is a former employee and her brother is a current employee (for the last 16 years).

The review/rating project related to this institution is somewhat personal and most of the information is of a negative nature. However most review/rating projects will likely begin with a complaint so it appears to be an apt sample project involving a local school and administration.

Review/rating projects are meant to bring negatives and positives about individuals, businesses and institutions to light; the primary intent is to promote change and improvement rather than to attack and undermine.

This website is still in development so this is a beta Review/Ratings Project for St. Thomas More Catholic School.

Please provide comments and suggestions on how to improve reviews of this type below.

The administration of the school failed miserably in communication and student protection.

Where issues of dangers to the students (from a teacher) were concerned, the school did not respond at all except (as indicated by the teacher in question) to encourage repression of controversy over correction, investigation, or resolution of the dangers...

Many of the school related issues are contained in the appellate filings for civil matters in NC:

Tyll v Willets and Tyll v Berry

The following email was sent to the school:

Your browser doesn't support embedded pdf files. Click here to open or download the Letter to Dr. Ashton

*A teacher at St. Thomas More Catholic School used that letter as a [false] "basis for obtaining a restraining order" and preventing investigation, discussion, or correction of potential child abuse [until the restraining order was overturned by unanimous decision of the N.C. Court of Appeals]; see Tyll v Willets [COA13-105]. The school appeared and appears to completely support the teacher's efforts at repression over correction.

There are no obvious problems with the school's academic program(s).

The church at St. Thomas More also ignored all attempts at communication and resolution of the issues outlined in the cases.
